Grilled lemon salmon is one of my kids’ favorite recipe to make any time of the year. Not only is it healthy and delicious, but it’s also incredibly easy to prepare. Moreover, salmon is rich in omega-3 fatty acids, which can improve heart health.
Ingredients:
2 lbs Salmon
1 tbsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Salt
1/2 tsp Black Pepper
3/4 tsp Onion Powder
3/4 tsp Garlic Powder
1 lemon
1/4 Red Onion
2 Green Onion (scallion )
Instructions:
Cut red onion and green onion (scallion) into small pieces and place them into a small bowl. Then squeeze half a lemon into that same bowl, mix together. This smells so good.
Grease grill/cast iron pot with avocado oil (any cooking oil/Ghee you choose)
Preheated oven to 415 degrees with grill inside ( this will give your salmon that grill charred look)
When hot, place salmon on the grill for 3-5 minutes skin side up, more importantly, this will give your fish the grilled look.
After that 3-5 minutes, turn the fish on the next skin side facing down on the grill.
Next reduce the oven temperature to 330 degrees. This will allow the salmon to cook evenly throughout. Cook Salmon for about 12-15 more minutes or until flaky or cook through.
Take the salmon out of the oven, then squeeze the other half of the lemon onto the fish.
To top it all off sprinkle sweet onion and scallions mixture on the salmon.
Could be served with some steamed veggies, rice or quinoa or eaten by itself.
Bon Appetit, your grilled lemon salmon is ready.
