Scrambled eggs are one of the most classic breakfast items on any menu, whether it’s at home or a restaurant. Today I’m sharing tips on how to make delicious fluffy eggs.
How to make the best scrambled eggs
Even though scrambled eggs are quite easy to make, there are a few challenges that individuals face when making it.
Overcooking the eggs which leave them to be dried out and sometimes hard which makes it lacking taste. To achieve fluffy and creamy eggs patience and a little bit of love is the key.
Another challenge is undercooked eggs, which for some folks is great, but for others this can lead to exposure to salmonella.
I only use 4 ingredients: Eggs, Salt, Black pepper and Butter
I do not like when milk or cream is added to my eggs, that’s just my preference. I think the eggs taste better without it. So, if you choose to add milk or cream that is perfectly ok with me because that’s your choice.
Add-Ins
A perfect scrambled egg is delicious on its own, but add-ins enhance more flavor to the eggs. It takes will take your eggs recipes to another level.
They can be extra veggies or salmon and other ingredients for even more, flavor, taste and nutrition. I would recommend using vegetables that are already cooked to avoid overcooking the eggs.
- Cooked diced bell pepper
- Sautéed mushrooms
- Sweet or yellow onions
- Fresh Spinach
If you want to make your scrambled eggs a bit more interesting, try adding these toppings and sides:
- Shredded Cheese – Can be from any of your choice, moreover, any cheese will go with scrambled eggs. The variations are cheddar, Monterey jack, Swiss, Mexican blend, feta, sharp cheddar, and the list goes on.
- Tomatoes – This is another topping that will give your scramble eggs a pop of color. Try diced, sun-dried, or cherry tomatoes.
- Bacon – Bacon and eggs go hand in hand are a perfect pair.
- Herbs – Finely chopped chives, basil, thyme leaves or parsley. Not only does it smell amazing, but it really enhances the overall flavor of the dish.
- Sauces – This will give your eggs a spicy finish. Sauces like sriracha, tabasco, chili or tomato ketchup is another way to step up your scrambled egg game.
Ingredients
- 3-4 large eggs
- pinch salt
- black pepper
- 1-2 teaspoons butter, for cooking
- And most of all a pinch of love
Instructions
- Eggs– Crack the eggs into a medium mixing bowl of your choice.
- Combine – Then, add salt and black pepper and whisk them together. You’ll want to beat the eggs so they’re evenly combined.
- Heat – Place butter in a non-stick pan between medium and low heat, make sure to spread the melted butter evenly in the pan. This is very important, then add the your eggs. Allow the eggs to sit until they’re set at the edges.
- Scramble – Use a silicone spatula to slowly pull the cooked edges inwards, and towards the middle of the pan. Then gently scrape the eggs in circles, letting the liquid eggs take the place of the cooked ones. Remove the pan from the heat just before they reach your desired doneness so they don’t get overcook.
