Ingredients:
  • 2 lbs Salmon
  • 2 tsp avocado oil
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper
  • 4-5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 ½ tsp apple cider vinegar or vinegar

sauce

Instructions:
  • Prepare the Salmon: Begin by cleaning fish in cold lemon water, then patting the salmon filets dry with paper towels to remove any excess moisture. This step ensures that the fish cooks evenly and develops a nice sear. Then season fish with oil, salt, pepper and paprika.
  • Make the Honey Garlic Glaze:
  • In a small bowl, combine the minced apple cider vinegar, garlic, honey, soy sauce. Whisk the ingredients together until well incorporated, forming a smooth glaze.
  • Marinate the Salmon: Place the salmon filets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour 1/4 of the honey garlic glaze sauce of the sauce on the salmon, ensuring that each filet is evenly coated.
  • For optimal flavor, allow the salmon to marinate in the glaze for at least 1-2 hours in the refrigerator. This allows the flavors to meld together and infuse into the fish. Quick tip: cook fish at room temperature.
  • Over medium heat add butter to your skillet, and once the pot is ready place your fish in.
  • Cook salmon for 5 minutes on both. Then pour your honey garlic sauce on the fish and let it simmer for 10 minutes or until the fish is cooked through.
  • Once the salmon is done, remove it from the pot. Serve your honey garlic salmon hot alongside your favorite sides, such as steamed vegetables, rice, or quinoa.
